This one-week program (around one hour per day) is designed for busy educators who want to stay up with the times and integrate AI tools seamlessly into their classrooms. Over seven days and 32 concise, practical lessons, you'll explore what AI is and isn't, understand privacy laws like FERPA, COPPA and New York's Education Law 2-d, experiment with AI tools, create your own classroom activity, and develop a 30-day action plan. Grounded in Matt Miller's AI Literacy in Any Class and Holmes, Bialik & Fadel's Artificial Intelligence in Education, this course prepares you to use AI thoughtfully, talk about it honestly with your students, and protect them when it matters.
Our mission is to expand access to high-quality, inclusive education by equipping teachers across grade levels with practical tools, training, and technology that strengthen classroom learning.
Voices for Equitable Learning (VEL) was founded in 2025 by a group of educators and technologists passionate about closing the digital divide. Since our inception, we've collaborated with school districts and community organizations to develop and distribute accessible educational resources and training.
Despite advances in technology, many schools and districts still lack the resources, training, and inclusive materials needed to support diverse learners. At VEL, we focus on bridging this gap by promoting accessible tools, culturally responsive content, and professional development that empowers teachers and benefits students from all backgrounds
